I am a highly motivated and passionate Yoga teacher with many and varied experiences. In 1999 Yoga Teachers Association, today it is known as Yoga Australia, was formed and I was a part of the original team. I am still a member today.
Now my objective is to assist as many children and teachers as possible to manage in this ever changing world in which we live. It would be a pleasure if, in some small way, I can show students and teachers alike how to relax, be calm and enjoy their journey.
Having worked in schools as an integration aide, Special Needs teacher and sports trainer, I have witnessed the stress and strain that impacts both students and teachers.
My Yogic journey has run over 40 years. I have been inspired to continue studying and understand Yoga at a great depth. My studies started with Shanti School of Yoga in Sydney and they include:
* Diploma of Yoga, 4 year course including: Asana (posture), Mediation, Sanskrit (language), Philosophy, Anatomy, Ethics, First Aide, Understanding Personal Differences.
Then post graduate studies in:
- * Yoga for Special Needs
- * Pre and Post Natal Yoga From this base point, with research and many hours of and a lifelong approach to study and learning in my field, I set up my own Yoga studio and Yoga Teacher Training School. This expanded to my teaching Post Graduate courses in:
- * Yoga for Children (ages 6 – 17 years)
- * Mums and Bubs
- * Children with Disabilities
- * Inner Cor Evolve, for persons surviving stroke
- * Aged persons: 60 + and Gorgeous which includes mat yoga, chair yoga, wheel chair yoga, and also in-bed yoga, (for those who are so restricted) Yoga has lead me on many paths. Some of the places I have worked are:
- * Schools both junior and senior, including: Morongo Girls’ College, Geelong Grammar, Geelong College, Wesley, Our Lady of Sacred Heart College, Newtown Primary, Montpelier Primary, Bell Post Kindergarten.
- * Hospitals: St. John of God in Geelong, Royal Women’s Melbourne.
- * Indigenous communities in Geelong and Broome.
- * Many Corporations and work places, large and small including: ATO, Care Super, Deakin University, First National Real Estate.
- * Barwon Prison
- * Clinic for Eating Disorders
- * Vipassana’s (3 day Meditation silent retreats): Tasmania, Victoria, NSW, Western Australia, Queensland. These groups included Years 11 and 12 students who attended prior to their final exams, as well as teachers, corporates and yoga devotees.
- * Speaker and presenter: Vietnam, USA, Bali, and throughout Australia. My writings on Yoga and its benefits have been publishing in several publications: Yoga Australia, International Yoga Teachers Association, Australian Corporate Wellness and many local papers. I have been invited to speak on radio several times. Further to this I am a published author of the following books:

The Benefits of Yoga are endless. Physically, yoga will increase your flexibility, muscle tone and strength. Mentally, the breathing techniques quiet the mind, relax the body, reduce stress and increase awareness of the self.
